SAMCO Competes in the Indian Market

Twenty years ago, SAMCO had sold its semiconductor process equipment in the Indian market. The annual sales figure was in the tens of millions Japanese Yen (JPY). However, after the weakening of the Indian economy, SAMCO’s sales in India have remained rather steady. We are now expecting an expansion in the Indian semiconductor market due to the rapid growth of the Indian economy.

We have now decided to compete more aggressively in the Indian market. SAMCO’s International Division visited India in February of 2006, and contracted with two sales agents: Vico Scientific Inc. and Simco Inc. Vico Scientific Inc. is headquartered in New Delhi and has strong connections with universities and other educational institutions in India. Simco Inc. has strong connections with private companies.

We expect to expand the sales of SAMCO’s wafer processing equipment in the Indian market through partnership with these two agents.
