Kyoto, Japan – July 18 2025 – Earlier this summer, Samco Inc. (TSE: 6387) welcomed a group of undergraduate students from Ohio State University to Samco’s headquarters. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange and insights into Japanese business practices, supply chains, and logistics.
Fifteen sophomore students belonging to various degree programs (business, finance, marketing) joined the visit alongside faculty member Michael Knemeyer, a Professor of Logistics at Ohio State University’s Max M. Fisher College of Business.
During their time at Samco’s headquarters in Kyoto, the students met with Samco’s CEO and founder, Osamu Tsuji, who spoke of the formation of Samco and the challenges facing innovation and business enterprise in both Japan and global markets.

An insightful Q&A session followed the lecture, where Mr. Tsuji was asked “What’s the best advice you have for a company looking to expand globally?” His answer was a succinct, “Make a lot of friends.” He emphasized the need for a robust international network to conduct business smoothly across borders and leverage the vast knowledge of partners around the world.
Afterwards, the group toured the company’s production facilities and the Samco Museum, which showcases the company’s technological evolution and contributions to the semiconductor industry.
