On December 12, 2025, Osamu Tsuji, Founder and Chairman of Samco Inc., was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT).
This honorary title recognizes Mr. Tsuji’s contributions to the advancement of education and research at the university. Through his leadership at Samco, Mr. Tsuji has contributed to the development of thin-film technologies. In parallel, he has continuously delivered lectures on materials science at KIT, sharing practical knowledge and industry experience with students.
The conferment ceremony was held on the university campus and was attended by President Yoshimoto of Kyoto Institute of Technology and other university officials. The ceremony included the presentation of the honorary doctorate certificate, a congratulatory address by the president, and a message of appreciation delivered by Mr. Tsuji.
Samco believes that collaboration between industry and academia is essential for both technological innovation and human resource development. The company will continue to contribute to the advancement of education and research through cooperation with universities and research institutions.
