Samco Signs MoU with IIT Delhi to Advance Academic and Research Collaboration
Samco Inc. (TSE: 6387), a leading manufacturer of semiconductor processing equipment, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) to facilitate academic exchange and cooperation in research and education.
The agreement was signed on September 1, 2025, during a ceremony in New Delhi, India, attended by Samco founder and CEO, Osamu Tsuji. The event, which followed Tsuji’s invited lecture, also included Professor Rangan Banerjee, the Director of IIT Delhi, and Professor Vamsi Krishna Komarala, the Head of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering. This MOU is expected to accelerate collaboration between the two organizations.
Based on this Memorandum of Understanding, the two organizations will collaborate on the following initiatives:
- To exchange information on research and educational programmes,
- To exchange information on teaching, learning material and other literature relevant to their educational and research programmes,
- To jointly organize short-term continuing education programmes on topics of mutual interest and to invite each other’s faculty to participate therein,
- To jointly organize seminars, conferences, or workshops on topics of mutual interest and to invite each other’s faculty to participate therein,
- To jointly propose and engage in research or training programmes sponsored by funding agencies, and to invite each other’s faculty to participate therein,
- To exchange, on a reciprocal basis, faculty and students for limited periods of time for purpose of education and /or research.
The IIT Delhi is recognized as one of India’s premier engineering institutions, with a strong international reputation in diverse fields, including science, engineering, and energy. The company brings extensive knowledge and expertise in advanced semiconductors, compound semiconductors, and thin-film technology for electronic components. Through this MOU, the company aims to strengthen its industry-academia collaboration by promoting joint research and personnel exchanges in critical areas such as semiconductor and energy-related technologies.
